Solution no. 1 REPLACE THE CHAIR OF SALARIES & REMUNERATION COMMISSION
Dear Kenyans, How did we reach day 85 of a Doctors’ strike in kenya?
From today we distill the problems that have brought us here and we propose solutions.
Madam Sarah Serem has done a great disservice to this country. SRC has failed to do its work as it meddles into the work of others & particularly PSC.
And on this point I quote Sossion the Sec Gen TSC
There is only one devil in this country, the Salaries and Remuneration Commission. ~ Sossion
And he was right, Dear Kenyans please read this quote carefully and judge for yourself noting that SRC for 4 years has done absolutely nothing to avert the doctors’ strike

Today i decided to read a bit on the functions of the SRC as per the constitution ( Sosion aliniamsha)…….and this is what i found out:
- SET and regularly REVIEW the remuneration and benefits of ALL STATE officers….(SRC has been ‘unable’ to SET these perks, and now State Officers are deciding for themselves as they implement)
- ADVICE the national and county governments on the remuneration and benefits of all other public officers.( currently SRC are deciding & SETTING Public officers’ wages, contrary to their mandate!)
In performing its functions the commission shall take the following PRINCIPLES into account:
- the need to ensure that the total public compensation bill is fiscally sustainable. ( THIS IS THE ONE EXPLOITED MOST …..ati wage bill is high)
- the need to ENSURE that public services are ABLE TO ATTRACT AND RETAIN the skills required to execute their function ( Rotich wants the doctors to not flock into public sector, ati what will happen to private sector? )
- the need to RECOGNISE PRODUCTIVITY and performance (like separating twins excetera….).
I think they only read the first function wakaachia hapo………enyewe people who dont read are a problem……..
Let’s start solving problems bedeviling Kenyans. Let’s start by firing Sarah Serem
